Turn Python knowledge into capability
Learning Python is more effective when each stage produces a working project. Start with syntax and data structures, then use functions and modules to structure programs, OOP where appropriate, files and databases for persistence, and web frameworks for APIs.
A practical progression
Build command-line tools first. Then build a CRUD application, a tested REST API and finally a production-style application with authentication, database migrations, logging, caching and deployment.
Learn by solving problems
When a project needs asynchronous I/O, learn asyncio. When a workload is CPU-heavy, investigate multiprocessing or algorithmic improvements. When code becomes hard to maintain, revisit module boundaries, types and tests. The goal is to choose the right tool for the problem.
Final project: build a complete API with users, authentication, CRUD resources, pagination, tests, logging, caching and deployment documentation. Use the earlier lessons as reference material whenever a real implementation problem appears.
