Creating a React Project
The easiest way to start a modern React project is to use a build tool such as Vite. Vite provides a development server and a production build process.
Step 1: Check Node.js
React development tools run on Node.js. Install a current supported Node.js version before creating your project.
Step 2: Create the Project
Run the command shown in the example block. It creates a project using the React template.
Step 3: Install Dependencies
After the project is created, move into the project directory and run npm install.
Step 4: Start Development
Run the development command. Vite starts a local development server and provides a URL that you can open in your browser.
Important Files
- src/main.jsx: Entry point of the application.
- src/App.jsx: Main application component.
- package.json: Project dependencies and scripts.
- public/: Public static files.
